Being a Priyappettavar Companion means more than being present. It means carrying responsibility, respect and compassion into every interaction.
This Code of Conduct defines the professional, ethical and behavioural standards expected of every Priyappettavar Companion.
Clients and families trust us with the people they love most. That trust must be honoured through professionalism, compassion, integrity and respect.
Every interaction should reflect one simple promise:
“Because Every Dear One Deserves Someone.”
Our role is not merely to complete tasks, but to make every client feel respected, valued, safe, heard and cared for.
These are not simply words on a page. They are the standards every Companion is expected to demonstrate.
See the person behind the need and respond with genuine care.
Honour every person's dignity, choices, beliefs and individuality.
Do what is right, honest and responsible even when nobody is watching.
Represent yourself and Priyappettavar with maturity and responsibility.
Be dependable, punctual and consistent in the commitments you make.
Allow people the time and understanding they need.
Protect what clients and families trust you enough to share.
Take responsibility for your actions, decisions and commitments.
Companions are encouraged to listen actively, show genuine interest, learn the client's preferences, encourage conversation, celebrate achievements, create joyful moments and help reduce loneliness.
Meaningful relationships are encouraged. Professional boundaries must always remain.
Everything seen, heard or learned during service is confidential. This responsibility continues even after services end.
Phones should remain on silent mode during service. Personal calls, browsing and texting should not distract from the companionship experience.
It should always be treated with the same care and respect we would want someone to show our own home.
Companions must never handle sensitive financial information or conduct transactions outside the agreed service process.
Small tokens of appreciation may be accepted when permitted by company policy. Significant gifts or benefits must never be accepted.
Examples may include a greeting card or homemade sweets, subject to company policy.
The following conduct may result in immediate disciplinary action.
Companions have a duty to report concerns that may affect a client's safety, dignity or well-being.
Those moments define the Priyappettavar experience.
As a Priyappettavar Companion, I commit to serving every client with compassion, dignity, honesty, patience and professionalism.
I will respect their privacy, honour their independence, protect their trust and uphold the values of Priyappettavar in every interaction.
I understand that my actions represent not only myself, but also the reputation and mission of Priyappettavar.
